Second Chance Dog Rescue
We are a 501c3 tax-exempt animal rescue located in Murray, Kentucky.
We are here to help all animals in need, especially the ones out of time in the local shelters.
What We Do
We focus mainly on dogs, but will also take in cats or any animal in need. We are not set up to take in farm animals but will help where we can so please do not hesitate to contact us if there is an animal in need. We may not be able to take it to our rescue, but we will do our absolute best to find a home for it.
Who We Are
Second Chance is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue that serves in the Murray, Kentucky area and surrounding counties. We do not receive any financial aid from the government and rely directly on donations and grants to stay running. We do not have a permanent facility yet and are foster-based. This means that while the number of animals we can take in are limited to the number of fosters we can get, every animal is treated as a part of the family until their forever homes can be found.

The number of dogs and cats we can save depends on the number of people we have helping us. We are always looking for new volunteers!

There are many ways you can volunteer with us. From the early stages of preparing for our animal’s arrival to meeting them at transport, to helping at adoption events, and then following up after adoption, every step along our animal’s journey relies on volunteers.
