Can I reach out to you if I know of animals who need help?We recommend reaching out to your local animal control officer or law enforcement agency to report suspected cruelty. As we are a team of solely volunteers with regular full-time jobs, we are not equipped to handle crisis situations.

How much of my donation actually goes toward helping animals? Our rescue is run solely by volunteers which means every penny minus any fees (Paypal donations) are put towards helping animals in our community. This could be paying down our vet bills, purchasing food for our animals in foster care, gas for transporting the animals to vet appointments, etc.

Can you rehome my pet for me?We are so sorry to hear that you are struggling to keep your pet. We know it's a hard situation! We are a foster-based organization and do not have a permanent facility. While we try to help as much as we can, if we don't have an available foster we won't be able to take possession of your pet. We can however, do a courtesy post to help get the word out and have them directly contact you. If you decide that rehoming your pet is the best option, keep in mind that despite the best efforts of shelters and rescues to care for their animals, your home is usually the best place for your pet while you search for an adopter. By taking on the task of finding your pet a home, you can also reduce competition for limited space and resources in shelters or rescues. Here are some tips for placing your pet in a loving new home. Make your pet more attractive to potential adopters. Have your pet vaccinated and checked by a veterinarian. Making sure your pet is spayed or neutered may also make them more likely to be chosen by a new owner. Advertise through friends, neighbors and local veterinarians. Your personal network is the best pool of adopters for your pet. Ask your veterinarian if you can place a poster advertising your pet’s need for a new home. Place flyers promoting your pet at work, school, church and other public places you frequent. Include a good-quality photo and appealing description of your pet. Leverage your social network. Post your pet’s photo and story and ask your friends to share it on their social streams. Be transparent with potential adopters. Be prepared to share details about your pet's personality and how they get along with other pets and people. Share your pet’s favorite things and not-so-favorite things. And share any medical or behavior issues your pet is experiencing so that potential new owners will have the information they need to determine if your pet would be a good fit for their family.

Do you have sponsorships to cover adoption fees? No. We do not have sponsorships to cover adoptions fees. We FIRMLY believe that if you are not able to cover the adoption fee, then you won't be able to cover the yearly upkeep of the animal. Our adoption fees are in place to ensure that we find adopters who can keep the animal up-to-date on shots and heartworm prevention ever year. A yearly check up plus prevention usually costs between $150-$300 depending on your vet. Adoption fees are put in place to PROTECT our animals.
